Don’t think like this guy. What happens if inflation moves up significantly? Your rent start to climb by 5-10% a year, but that 40k just stays the same. What do you think that 800k will buy in 30 years? A cheese burger if you’re lucky! I’m amazed that people can be very aware of principle risk, but completely oblivious to purchasing power risk.
