Ask the MM. Does every token listed on a CEX need a market maker? Short answer: most centralized exchanges will not list a token if the project doesn't have a market maker. It's not just about having liquidity after listing. It's part of the listing application itself. Exchanges want to know who is managing depth and spreads from day one. Showing up without that answer usually means your application doesn't move forward. Here's why it works like this. Exchanges have been working with established market makers for 2+ years. They trust them. They know that reputable MMs only take on quality projects, so when a project shows up with a known MM behind it, that's an additional trust signal for the exchange. On the other side, exchanges know from experience that projects without a market maker almost always struggle. Thin order books, declining metrics, compliance issues, eventual delisting. They've seen it happen hundreds of times. They don't want those tokens on their platform because it hurts their own reputation.

GM CT Quick market observation 67.4% of retail traders on Binance are currently long BTC. Meanwhile, $BTC is down 4.5% over 7 days and institutional ETFs have seen weeks of outflows. Retail is betting on recovery. Institutions are pulling money out. When those two sides disagree this strongly, something has to give. Worth watching closely this week.

Number of the week. $4.56 billion. Total crypto liquidations in the last 30 days. The largest single event was $402 million on June 4. Most of these were long positions being forced out when price dropped through support levels. Traders kept trying to catch the bottom too early and got liquidated when BTC continued lower.
