Priority fees on Hyperliquid: 21,895 $HYPE the mainnet update. Launched April 14. 2.5 months of live data now, and the thesis is holding up: Priority fees are becoming a real, structural $HYPE demand sink. Order priority (write priority, paid per fill): 21,895 $HYPE paid in priority gas since launch, roughly $1.38M of real demand. 16.8M fills, 98.5% of them paying a priority fee. But the total isn't the point. The slope is. Daily spend went from 24 HYPE/day in week one to 1,106 HYPE/day last week. A 45x increase in 10 weeks. Distinct payers grew from 14 to 130 over the same period. The demand isn't just bigger, it's broader. Where that lands against the scenarios I projected: Current run-rate is ~404k HYPE/year, about $25.5M/year, 0.12% of supply. That is 1.37x my LOW case in HYPE terms. And since HYPE went from $35 to $63 since I wrote those numbers, it is roughly 2.5x LOW in dollars. The order-priority burn has already cleared the floor of my range, in both HYPE and USD. Peak day was June 23: 2,226 HYPE spent in 24 hours, about $140k. The last week of June was the most active stretch since launch. Still only ~3% of my MEDIUM case. There is a lot of room before this even reaches the middle of my projections. One honest correction to the original take. "Anyone can pay to go first" holds, but only on order priority: 130 distinct payers, small near-floor amounts, genuinely broad access. Gossip (read priority) is the opposite. Two infra nodes capture 91% of it, the auctions settle near the floor, and there has been no indexed gossip activity since early May. 5 slots, usually only 2 of them filled. The democratization is real on the write side, not the read side. Net: the mechanism is live on mainnet, the order-priority burn 45x'd since April, and it just passed the low end of my projections. Not MEDIUM yet. But every macro event, every HIP-3 expansion, every liquidation cascade pushes it that way. The demand sink isn't theoretical anymore. It's printing. Just use Hyperliquid.
