Polymarket is one of the worst betting experiences I've ever had. Bidding on percentages instead of standard betting odds is a huge obstacle to onboarding users. Every time I try to introduce a serious gambler to the platform, they have no idea how to place a bet. I'm not saying percentage-based markets should disappear, but at the very least there should be a UI/UX layer that translates everything into familiar betting odds. Then there's market resolution. Why do I have to wait at least 3 hours for a market to settle? Seriously? And if you actually want to trade positions rather than hold them to resolution, good luck. The UI barely supports it. Most advanced functionality is effectively API-only. The website feels like it's running on EDGE internet from 2007. I understand the speculation around prediction markets, hedging strategies, and the TradFi narrative. But it's still crazy to me that a product with this many UX/UI issues can be valued at $15 B. To top it all off, I lost $2,000 while depositing through the official UI. I opened a support ticket six days ago and still haven't received a response. At this point, I'll probably have to reach out to people I know who are connected to the team just to get support. What a shitshow. If I need personal connections to resolve a basic deposit issue, how is the average user supposed to make it?
