Sentinel

Sentinel is a Layer 1 blockchain for peer-to-peer bandwidth, powering decentralized VPN applications and AI data scraping. The project has substantial operational maturity with 40k+ monthly users, 1M+ total users, 8+ dVPN apps built on its protocol, and nodes across 100+ countries. However, it is NOT an early-stage gem — the account dates to 2017 (7+ years old), has 41k followers, and is already a recognized player in the Cosmos ecosystem with established infrastructure and multiple live products.

Green flags: Real working product with 40k+ monthly active users and 2M+ encrypted sessions · Tangible DePIN infrastructure: 800+ cities, 100+ countries, thousands of independent nodes · Multiple live dVPN applications built on protocol (8+), active developer ecosystem · Recent product releases (Plan Manager dashboard, Linux support, refreshed docs) show ongoing development

Red flags: Already established — 7+ year old project (2017), 41k followers, well-known in Cosmos ecosystem · Not early-stage: described as 'most used chain in Cosmos for 18+ months', 1M+ total users · Mature infrastructure and recognition disqualify it as an undiscovered gem

Today, Sentinel added its support to the Stop Killing the Internet campaign. The campaign was launched in response to a growing global trend toward online identity checks, age verification, device scanning, and increasing restrictions on how people access the internet. It brings together digital rights organizations from across Europe, North America, Africa, and Australia to advocate for rights-respecting alternatives that protect both safety and privacy. The principles behind the campaign reflect a challenge we've highlighted for years. The internet is becoming increasingly centralized around a handful of platforms, providers, and points of control. Building resilient, decentralized infrastructure is one way to strengthen choice, privacy, and access. The Sentinel Network was built to enable decentralized VPN applications through a globally distributed network of independent peer-to-peer nodes, rather than relying on a single provider or centralized gateway. Do Sentinel blu frens accept reality or do we continue our own delusion and stay in an ecosystem where no one is left and the leadership themselves recommend leaving? There is a whole world out there waiting for Sentinel. https://t.co/X0nQIDGK4F

After years of dedication towards building the most resilient protocol for anyone to build their own decentralized VPN, the Sentinel eco is extremely happy to see that the topic of VPNs is beginning to trend amongst privacy enthusiasts Next comes the topic of CVPN vs DVPN

The Kids Online Safety Act (KOSA) was first introduced in 2022, passed the US Senate in July 2024 with overwhelming bipartisan support, was reintroduced in 2025, and now forms part of the broader KIDS Act package that advanced out of the House Energy and Commerce Committee in March 2026. It has not yet become law. Sound familiar? The UK has its Online Safety Act. Australia has introduced age verification measures. France, Spain, and other countries are exploring similar proposals. While the legislation differs, the direction is increasingly the same: greater identity and age verification before accessing parts of the internet. The goal is to improve child safety online. The debate is about how that should be achieved. As governments increasingly explore identity-based access to online services, the underlying architecture becomes just as important as the policy itself. Centralized verification systems can create attractive targets for data breaches, subpoenas, and misuse because they concentrate sensitive information in one place. The Sentinel Network takes a different approach. It provides decentralized VPN infrastructure through independent peer-to-peer nodes rather than centralized VPN servers, helping reduce reliance on centralized points of control while giving users greater choice over how they connect to the internet. Use a decentralized VPN powered by the Sentinel Network and access an unrestricted internet. https://t.co/yK9zavfM1l
