Instant payment systems are often built for inclusion. But are they really designed that way? 🌍 New research from our Policy Activation grantee, Alliance DFA, found that early decisions about governance, access, and participation can unintentionally leave people out. The research examines how instant payment systems (IPS) are designed across Africa, Asia, and Latin America, drawing on insights from 129 practitioners in more than 20 countries. The choices made today will shape financial access for years to come.
