While $ETH is near multi-year lows, @ethereum is about to ship its biggest upgrade since the Merge. Glamsterdam just entered its final devnet. Core devs describes the update as "the largest fork since the Merge." Here's what's actually coming: Gas limit: 60M → 200M (3x L1 capacity) Transactions per second: 10,000 via parallel execution Enshrined proposer-builder separation — censorship resistance baked into the base layer Mainnet target: Q3 2026. You may see on CT KOLs claiming "Ethereum is lost. Narrative gone to Solana. Blockvhain too slow, move on." But here is why it doesn't make any sense. The upgrade comes right before the agentic economy narrative kicks in (which I expect to be all over the news in 2027). With Glamsterdam, AI agents will be able to pay each other for compute, data, tasks, millions of machine-to-machine micro-transactions per day — in the most robust, decentralized and enduring blockhain ecosystem. I think $ETH is massively oversold. While it might go down on the short-term, if you're a long term investor, you may want to accumulate or keep cash on the side to lump sum.

Kraken paused its IPO. Ledger paused. Consensys paused. Grayscale paused. Four crypto-native companies that were expected to ring the Nasdaq bell in 2026 — all standing down. Meanwhile: @AnthropicAI files its S-1 at $965B. @SpaceX priced at $1.77T. OpenAI targeting Q4 at $1T. Three AI giants. Up to $240B raised combined — MORE THAN ALL U.S. IPOs in 2025. For context: that's 60% of the entire global stablecoin market cap potentially rotating out of risk assets. BNP Paribas flagged up to $50B in retail liquidations from crypto alone just to fund the SpaceX allocation. No wonder our crypto portfolio keeps trending down... On the flip side, the same companies heading to Nasdaq are building on crypto rails right now: Google Cloud, AWS, and @AnthropicAI all run x402 — the open protocol for AI agent micropayments in USDC. @Coinbase launched agent accounts that trade and spend on-chain last week. The companies "draining crypto liquidity" are also its biggest incoming use case. It's clear that retail capital will keep pouring cash onto IPO allocations. What's crazy is how it conveniently matches the $BTC 4 year cycle. My gut feeling tells me that the end of the AI euphoria will mark the bottom of this crypto bear market and that the same capital that propelled AI will rotate back to crypto.

Currently, MiCA excludes "fully decentralised" crypto services from its scope — meaning platforms with no identifiable intermediary don't need a CASP licence and aren't subject to MiCA's investor-protection rules. Recently, Malta's regulator have communicated that truly decentralised crypto service is a much narrower category than most DeFi users assume. The MFSA's paper finds that the majority of DeFi protocols retain centralized features: admin or upgrade keys controlled by a small group, governance tokens concentrated in a handful of wallets, or front-end interfaces run by a single company. Under the paper's proposed spectrum test, those platforms would fall inside MiCA's scope — requiring licensing, smart-contract audits, and governance disclosures. For retail investors this cuts both ways. On the protection side, bringing pseudo-decentralised platforms within MiCA means accountability, redress rights, and mandatory audits — things you currently have zero claim to when using most DeFi protocols. On the access side, any DeFi platform that fails or refuses to get licensed would have to block EU users, shrinking the product set available. The consultation closes July 10, and whatever standard emerges will likely become the EU-wide template — not just a Maltese rule. What this all means is that MiCA is really but the 1st chapter of an incremental regulatory crackdown on DeFI. And this is an EU exception. The US is doing exactly the same. So if you use DeFi apps and live in the EU, pay attention to how things evolve because the regulatory ground is shifting under your feet. The elephant in the room is obviously @HyperliquidX What's going for them is that their reputation, so far, is impeccable relative to CEXs (looking at you Binance...)

Red markets are where most people freeze — the fear of seeing their portfolio going down is 10x greater than seeing their portfolio go up. It's one of the most predictable behaviour bias of the modern retail investor. This week, @swissborg featured Dimitri Finance, a regular person sharing his investment journey, making the case for Auto-Invest on the app while highlighting how important it is to use a MiCA regulated platform. Automating your buys when $BTC is down takes the emotional decision out of your hands entirely. Quoting @benjamincowen here: “Bull markets will make you money, bear markets will make you rich.” Worth the watch if you've been sitting on the sidelines.

Borgers! solana:3dQTr7ror2QPKQ3GbBCokJUmjErGg8kTJzdnYjNfvi3Z and $BORGY have been "listed" on Kraken 😉 This is a fundamental change in how tokens are distributed. The era of extracting "listing fees" from CEXs is over. The onchain stack became so good that Kraken partnered with @JupiterExchange for the routing and indexing in order to "list" 2500 tokens in one go. Platforms like @swissborg are doing the routing and indexing themselves across multiple chains at once. This is how you can swap a token on base with a token on Solana in one click. When you invest on SwissBorg, you invest directly onchain. No middle parties.
