Chuds win again!
Microsoft and Xbox are gonna be getting rid of even more people as the reception for their games continues to tank, and their projected revenue falls.
All they had to do was make products for the core audience of male gamers, and they were more interested in pushing an agenda rather than making successful games.
Hardware sales down 30% YoY
Gaming revenue down ~10% YoY
Service subscriptions down 5%
We the Chuds have been warning them for years, and they ignored us. Called us misogynistic incel basement dwellers.
One of the sobering information about all the supposed lynching of black men by white mobs is that it always occurred in the context of a horrific crime.
For ages the mainstream media and the common teaching in history classes was that it was all random, unjustified and was related to racism.
The overrepresented crime statistics by minority black men wasn't some new thing. It was always high, and often involved something really heinous and demonic.
Not saying that lynching should come back, but if we keep running the same restorative justice experiment, the anger built up in the US is going to boil over.
Anything like a career criminal shouldn't exist, and a murderer should not be allowed freedom.
So tomorrow the Supreme Court is going to rule on birthright citizenship. It needs to end, as it has been used as a vehicle for fraud and anchor baby tourism for far too long... diluting the citizenship.
Amy Coney Barrett and Justice Roberts' decisions hinge on this, and they have had a pretty poor track record related to ruling "correctly". I don't know if they have what it takes to repeal birthright citizenship.
The only party that this favors is the Democrats. For some reason, they have the uncanny ability to keep finding new ballots after the elections are over, and somehow they are all postmarked before election day.
Meanwhile, the SAVE Act for election integrity is dead in the water, and there are practically no assurances or even a way to check whether counted votes are legit or not. Signature checks and all kinds of checks never trace back to who the original person was.
5-4 decision too, and Amy Coney Barrett sided with the liberals on this...
My speculations on how the characters of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 meet their end...
First, Talia Yang. She is the most chromed out of all of the crew, and her cyberwear starts corrupting over the course of the show, escalating to full cyberpsychosis. The cause of it wasn't really her, but a rogue AI fragment installed by accident by a ripper doc... Whatever is left of the crew is overwhelmed, and eventually MaxTac takes her down. Her body is taken to Arasaka HQ, and her engram is extracted, and her rogue AI-infused madness is preserved. Then that is turned into an artificial elite virtual experience for the corpos to experience... poetic considering her origin. Her engram is aware the whole time, reliving the slide into madness over and over again. She is copied and turned into an engram-infused AI weapon.
Then there is Weak Kingsley. He is the "heavy is the crown" guy, the closest but the most screwed-up version of a mentor/leader of the group. He plays it smart and keeps everyone alive for most of the season until his "crown" breaks when he is forced to do what it takes to survive while everyone around him dies or is taken as he betrays them. In the end, he lives, but almost all of his cyberwear breaks in the process. To live, he opts to get all of his implants removed... but then lives as a shell of his former self, completely forgotten in Night City, where full ganics are nothing. Eventually he dies from a cold in the alleyway.
Then D, the netrunner who is driven by revenge. His final revenge quest is what gets the crew in too deep. After the mission fails and everyone is basically gone, D gets shot in the back of the head by a low-level fixer who found his existence and his past knowledge inconvenient. He never gets to have his moment, or any kind of redemption for this past; he dies in the stupidest way possible because his fantasies about going in a blaze of glory were denied. His dreams of revenge gone.
And last but not least, Roman Carax... He gets a cyberwear upgrade early in the show in which his video camera recording system is integrated into his kiroshi eye implant, records everything he sees in higher fidelity. He then turns some of what he witnesses into a brain dance, allowing others to see what he saw, selling some to various fixers and clients. At the end of the show, as D's mission falls apart, he ends up getting caught by scavs and is cut up for parts without anesthesia, as his eye implants keep recording. That also gets turned into a brain dance by the scavs (like they already do in the Cyberpunk lore), and is then sold on the black market... he becomes a legend among the black market porn pain junkie patrons, getting off to the pain of getting cut apart as he died.
All of this happens after massive climaxes around episode 8 or so, massive wins, dreams fulfilled, living the high life... Like the highest of the high, fun, ecstatic, and joyful, with the feeling like... nothing bad will ever happen to them. The characters are likable, fun, sweet, loving, and unhinged in the perfect way. But greed, D's mission, or something tilts it 180, and the last 2 episodes are when things go south, with bits and pieces of hope intermixed with utter despair. Every positive feeling you ever had is shredded and dashed in a blender.
I think this makes the sheer horror of the ending worse than the first season... some technically alive, but probably would wish they weren't. In season 1, even by episode 6, you knew a bad ending was coming.
Of course, if we are to speculate... I could keep coming up with worse endings than this for everyone, because THESE endings are just remixes of endings already in normie cyberpunk lore. There are much worse. But let's save that for later, eh?
